The Banned Wagon isn't your average bookstore. Truth is, she probably won’t ever make much money, because she isn't being built for profit. She’s being built for purpose. Our goal is to haul banned books through the South, hosting events that stir up conversation, and making sure folks young and old have access to stories some would rather see erased.
But keeping an old truck on the road, stocking her full of books, and showing up in communities near and far takes more than elbow grease. It takes a village. This is the kind of work that only survives if people believe in it enough to pitch in, spread the word, and keep the wheels turning.
